"
After receiving a decision that he didn't feel should have gone his way in the semi-finals of last week's Tournament of Champions, British Champion Nick Matthew intentionally served the ball out.

Considering the importance of the match, it was a very chivalrous gesture."

I was lucky to meet with Dennis - three times Canadian Champion - in 2007 when John Nimick invited me to cover the Canadian Classic in Toronto (Ramy first big win). We were doing the Qualifying rounds there, and he was extremely helpful.

His "bonne humeur" and energy will be missed.

Bob Hanscom is not happy...

If you missed it last edition, take the time to read that great one from the NYTimes, then the "follow up" from Forbes, with a "Naked Man on the floor" episode. Long articles both, and well worth taking the time to read them...

And one last one for the road, an article that mention both previous ones! Can't help loving the American Press... More please...

FOOTBALL AND SQUASH
THE BOOT ROOM INVITES
LEE DREW!

I really enjoy doing this Corner. I'm not saying it's not a freaking lot of work, but I come across some great articles.

Here is for example this "Boot Room", the official magazine of The FA Licensed Coaches’ Club.

With three editions published per season, The Boot Room provides expert coaching content to members. With insights from FA National Coaches, overseas study visit reports, research articles, and a dedicated grassroots coaching section, content is provided for coaches at all levels of the game.

The Boot Room is also an arena for the vibrant discussion and debate that surrounds coaching and player development. Stuart Pearce, Gareth Southgate, Tony Mowbray, Ex-Chelsea legends, Gianfranco Zola and Steve Clarke, also enter The Boot Room to share their experiences of playing and coaching at the top level.

And guess who's been invited? Our own Lee Drew! It shows that other sports as well as the media are showing a little more interest in our Great Game!

AZLAN ISKANDER

And if you wonder what Azlan is up to know he's not only retired but newly married...
